TSM’s Former Lineup Signs With Misfits

Hot on the heels of the Sean Gares/Reginald controversy that left the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community in an uproar, the former Team SoloMid lineup has been announced to have joined Misfits in a video that gives off some serious Adult Swim vibes.

The reveal came just hours after Team SoloMid’s press release informing fans of the split, where the organization blatantly described the situation as one that was unsalvageable.

“This decision was made after the relationships between the organization and the remaining players continued to deteriorate over the past few weeks, partly in due to the remaining squad’s explicit desire to continue playing together with sgares,” the organization explained via their blog.

“Team SoloMid is an organization that is built on having the future of its players as a top priority. Given the current situation, it was clear that the correct decision for us was to find a new home where the four players could continue their careers along with Sean.”

This makes CS:GO the sixth title that Misfits fields teams for, including League of Legends, Super Smash Bros., Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Heroes of the Storm. The lineup will retain their spot in the EPL, as Team SoloMid has transferred it over to Misfits, likely due to the chance that TSM will not be in search for a new roster in the near future.

The roster hasn’t changed since its announcement by Team SoloMid but, in case you’ve been out of the loop, the full team is as follows:

  • Sean “sg@res” Gares
  • Russel “Twistzz” David Van Dulken
  • Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan
  • Skyler “Relyks” Weaver
  • Hunter “SicK” Mims
