Trailers for Dragonball Fighters from @E3 + Closed Beta Coming Soon!

As previously mentioned in last week’s article, Dragonball Fighters is in development by ArcSystemWorks and will be released for Playstation 4, Xbox One (including the newly revealed Xbox One X) and Steam (PC) in early 2018. However, we didn’t get to see any trailers last week, but with E3 upon us this week…

Well…let me just warn you: you’re not ready for this hype overload. See below for a reveal trailer for the game.

The game follows a three-versus-three format for its combat system and integrates the high-speed action that we know and love from the anime series. Players utilize teams of three characters with the goal of eliminating the opposing team. Similar to Marvel 3, you can call upon your allies to perform “assists” that will either turn the tide of a match or worsen your situation, depending on how they are used.

When a character is eliminated, there is a temporary wait period before another fighter replaces their fallen ally, after which the match immediately resumes. And as the gameplay clip below indicates, specific circumstances can even alter the environment in which you’re fighting!

If you happen to be attending E3, or you plan to do so later this week, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy a pre-release build for Dragonball Fighters at the Los Angeles Convention Center! Stop by their website to purchase your ticket if you haven’t done so.

For those curious, the characters included in E3’s demo for Dragonball Fighters are:

  • Goku
  • Cell
  • Frieza
  • Vegeta
  • Gohan
  • Majin Buu

And, wait…it gets better! The PS4 and Xbox One are getting closed betas for the game by the end of summer! Details have yet to be shared but stay tuned if you want to be among the first waves of players to get a feel for the game’s mechanics!

We’ll be following Bandai Namco and ArcSystemWorks closely to see what else is in store for Dragonball Fighters! Given the franchise’s reputation as one of the most beloved anime series, the entirety of the FGC couldn’t be more excited for what is to come this year!
