The PlayStation Experience ReCap That You Need To See

In case you missed it, this past weekend was The PlayStation Experience (PSX), and the show had all kinds of games to show off. For those that don’t know, think of it like and E3 but for just PlayStation. Here at Stream.Me, we wanted to give you a full recap on whatever you may have missed. Some of it was amazing news and some of it will leave you scratching you head but for fans it was a great show regardless.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Yes thats right, that lovable marmoset is back at it again with a much needed. However, be advised that this game is just a poslihed up version of the old trilogy so it includes, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

Sony has said the they don’t consider the game a remake, or a remaster (since the games are nearly 20 years old), saying “We don’t consider this a remake. We know how much you all love the original games, so we didn’t want to fully remake them.  The N. Sane Trilogy is a remaster plus.”

Sony said they have made a lot of updates that make the old game brand new as almost to say “See you CAN teach an old (naughty) dog new tricks”

  • Rebuilt levels
  • Rebuilt characters
  • Rebuilt cinematics
  • Unified checkpointing & save game system.
  • Unified menu system.
  • Time Trials

Sony suggested that these weren’t the only new features but they will be giving fans more information as time goes on.

PaRappa The Rapper Remaster

“Kick! Punch! It’s all in the mind, If you wanna test me I’m sure you’ll find that all the things I’ll teach ya, is sure to beat ya, Never-the-less you get a lesson from teacher!” A song that is probably ingrained in anyone’s head that has played PaRappa The Rapper. For those of you who haven’t, Sony had good news for you this weekend. You will now be able to play the remaster of the canine lyricist in 4K in 2017.

Not only will you be able to hear the greatness of those old school 90’s phat rap beats, but “for PaRappa the Rapper Remastered, the DualShock 4 controller provides a steady metronome for each song to help the player ‘feel’ the beat of the rap.”

Akuma announced for Street Fighter V

Season Two is coming to Street Fighter V and Capcom had a huge announcement for fans. Thats right, the great and powerful arch-nemesis of Ryu, Akuma, is coming to join the frey! Check him and his handsome beard out!

Akumal will just be the first of Season 2’s DLC characters. He’s sporting a fresh hair style (that seems more animalistic). He definitely has increased muscle mass, despite this he possesses quick footwork and pretty massive combos. Capcom is hyping him up as an offensive juggernaut.

The Last of Us Part II

One of the bigger pieces that were shown off  during the keynote presentation was definitely The Last of Us Part II.  Creative Director Neil Druckmann shared a relevant detail about the newly revealed game. Put check out the review trailer first.

Druckmann mentioned that if the first game was about the love between Joel and Ellie, the story of The Last of Us: Part II  is the opposite. It’s about “hate,” and unlike the first game, fans will now play as Ellie instead of playing as Joel. According to Druckmann, the game is set a few years after the first title, and Ellie is nineteen years old. Not much else was told about the game so fans will just have to wait a bit longer as more information is released.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite

This came as a total shock to most fans, with very littler rumor about it. Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite will now be the forth game in the fighters series. So to start, here’s a brand new cinematic trailer. There’s some pretty anticipated (yet obvious) character reveals, so get ready for Marvel and Capcom to blow your mind.

Yes, Ms Marvel, Iron Man, Ryu, and Mega Man X open up has the first 4 character revealed. With an intense battle scene already starting the foursome go at it like a high school drama love square. From the trailer we see that the game at least has 2v2 where as the previous games were at least 3v3. There is no information as of yet that this will change. However return here to Stream.me for more infomation. Today there were actually two more character released, Captain America and Morgan from DarkStalkers. You can see them both below in another new trailer, which shows off the fighting, combos, Cap and Morgan, and the power of the Infinity Stones.

While there was much more going on these were the extreme highlights that sent the crowds into frenzies. Make sure to stop by Stream.Me for more information as these games are sure to make more announcements in the coming weeks.
