Tekken veteran Hoa @tk_anakin Luu signs with StreamMe!

We are happy to announce that we’ve signed Hoa “Anakin” Luu, long-time veteran from the Tekken community, as an ambassador for the StreamMe brand!

Since 2001, Anakin has invested himself into Tekken as a hardcore competitor. His residence in Atlanta gives him access to one of U.S.A.’s strongest Tekken scenes if not the strongest, a factor that has greatly benefited him as he worked to develop his skill in the franchise. The fruits of his training revealed themselves when he swept through circuits such as MLG Dallas 2010, where he took first place and won $12,500.

Unsurprisingly, as one of Tekken Tag 2’s top dogs, his skills have carried over to the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s legendary fighting franchise, Tekken 7, which finally arrived on consoles last Friday. Of course, the game had been accessible via arcade cabinets and pre-release console builds at quite a number of tournaments for a little over two years before its highly anticipated console release. Anakin was among the growing number of players who took full advantage of his opportunities with Tekken 7 to fine-tune his skills for when the game finally hit consoles. Last year, he took home the win at Combo Breaker and CEO but finished in second at the King of Iron Fist Tournament, which makes its return this year in the form of the Tekken World Tour.

Over in Philadelphia last weekend, Anakin competed in a Tekken 7 bracket for Wizard World Gaming where a pot bonus of $2,000 was up for grabs. Anakin entered Loser’s Bracket at an early point in the tournament, but he managed to pull it all the way back to Grand Finals where he reset the bracket and then clutched out an extremely close victory against JoeyFury in an epic Jack-7 mirror, a match-up that is rarely seen in Tekken tournaments.

“Joining Stream.Me’s efforts to revolutionize the broadcasting community as their brand ambassador is an incredible opportunity,” said Hoa “Anakin” Luu. “I’m looking forward to sharing Stream.Me’s platform with my followers and the fighting game community at large as I compete this season.”

And we are looking forward to working with Anakin in the years to come as we take our next steps in evolving the fighting game community! He’ll be joining Carl “Perfect Legend” White as a representative for the brand at a vast selection of tournaments including CEO 2017, which will take place at the Wyndham Resort in Orlando on June 16-18. The tournament will double as a qualifier for a large number of world circuits including the Tekken World Tour.
