UPDATED: Sign up for the Injustice 2 Online Beta in North America!

UPDATED: It appears we did not have to wait too long for the reason behind Mr. Boon’s tease! Via his Twitter along with that of InjusticeGame’s, a sign-up page for an Injustice 2 Online Beta has become available!

The beta is open to players who own either an Xbox One or Playstation 4. Given the hashtag #GoodGamePeaceOut we can safely assume that Injustice 2 will indeed be running with the GGPO netcode introduced to Mortal Kombat XL! As well, like with the MKX Online Beta, this will undoubtedly be our chance to get a quick glimpse of a few of the characters along with their frame data – although none of it is to be considered final as changes can still be made prior to the launch.

Once you register, you should see an email in your inbox with a code for the beta when it becomes available. At this time, no release date has been shared.

We’ve already registered and can’t wait to get our hands on this beta! Sign up now while you can!

“Don’t know why, but I can’t help feeling like there is something missing today…” – Ed Boon

Why must you tease us like this?!

In typical Ed Boon fashion, NRS’s creative director took to Twitter today to yank our puppet strings. Above you will see a post that contains beta characters from the Greek alphabet. Feel free to Google these symbols if you’re looking to become a linguist, but for the purposes of this post, please note the use of the word “beta.”

For those who may not recall, beta versions for Mortal Kombat 9 and the first Injustice title were released prior to their launch. No such trial was available for MKX, but given the implication of Boon’s Twitter post it gives us hope that we’ll get an opportunity to try out the gameplay first-hand before the game hits shelves in May!

It must be clarified, however, that this post is merely to speculate, not to confirm anything. No further details are available at this time.

If you enjoy being teased, or if you just want to get some more news on Injustice 2 as fast as possible, slap that follow button for his Twitter! We’ll get back to you when we learn more. 🙂
