Second Trailer for Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers

If you missed out on the Nintendo Direct conference last week, the guys over at Capcom were kind enough to drop a post on their Capcom Unity blog to remind you of their latest surprises. Check ’em out!

First up, a second trailer for Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers is available for your enjoyment. Check it out!

Fans of the classic Street Fighter 2 series, new and old alike, can now enjoy an update that brings it up to date with modern technology while staying faithful to its roots. Two new cast members – Evil Ryu and Violent Ken – join the fight using movesets that function similar to their basic versions but with definite differences.

While playing offline in either the Arcade or Versus modes, you can utilize a setting that will have the game searching for opponents online, provided that you are connected to the Internet. That way you will not need to sit and wait to be paired up with an opponent. You can play matches casually or rank up by winning ranked matches.

Additionally, players can team up offline to take on the CPU.

The new mode called Way of the Hado is perhaps the icing on USF2’s cake. The player will literally be able to take matters into their own hands by performing physical feats that mirror Ryu’s trademark special attacks. For more details on this feature, check out this article.

Ultra Street Fighter 2 comes to the Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2017 for $39.99! Given the console’s dual identity as a handheld device and an entertainment system, players will be able to play on the big screen or the touch screen. They can also remove the Joy-Con sticks from the console to play Tabletop Mode or “Way of the Hado.” The latest update to the SF2 series allows you to enjoy a fight from a warrior’s perspective as well as outside of it!
