Registration for #CEOtaku 2017 is open!

Anime FGC, the time has come to prepare yourself for CEOtaku 2017! As of last night, a registration page for the event has been opened to the public. Early bird registration guarantees a $40 venue fee plus another smaller fee for each game you wish to enter, but be warned that the price will increase as time passes.

As one of CEO’s biggest sibling events, CEOtaku has evolved into one of the anime community’s biggest hotspot destinations. Fans from all corners of anime, such as competitors, artists, vendors and so on will converge at the Wyndham Resort in Orlando on September 23rd-24th to celebrate their favorite genre alongside their family and friends.

Information on the event schedule and hotel accommodations can be found at CEOtaku’s page on the official website for CEO, or Community Effort Orlando. Like with its flagship event which happens every June, CEOtaku will be overseen by Mr. Alex Jebailey and his expansive team of organizers.

How hype are you for CEOtaku?! That should be a fairly easy question to answer, because it has not been more than twenty-four hours since registration opened and yet, according to Mr. Jebailey, players from twelve states and five different countries have already put down their names for the tournament!

Another reason for the event’s popularity is because it is considered the final destination for the Burst League, a competitive circuit founded by members of the Anime FGC. Players compete in a collection of events tied to the Burst League in order to acquire league points. The games supported by the Burst League are Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2, Blazblue: Central Fiction and King of Fighters XIV.

The final event for the Burst League will be East Coast Throwdown, which occurs in Fairfield, New Jersey on September 2nd-3rd. Upon the conclusion of the event, all points earned by the players will be tallied up and used to determine the winners of each game in the Burst League. These champions will receive free entry and housing for CEOtaku!

Also, the winners of the Burst League will be in the running for a post-season championship event called the Anime FGC Invitational! Details are scarce at this time, but stay tuned at CEOtaku to learn more once our champions have been crowned.

StreamMe has also contributed to CEOtaku by partnering with LevelUp Productions to host a second season for the Overdrive Series, an online league where players competed in Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2 to win a free trip to the endpoint of the Burst League. We are happy to announce that Xcel BjornSonOfBear, the winner of the Overdrive Series, will be flown out to CEOtaku to take part in the tournament!

Given our previous experience at CEO 2017 this year, we highly recommend that players consider attending this event if they live nearby Orlando and are anime FGC enthusiasts!

While CEO’s sibling events will continue to happen at the Wyndham Resort, it’s important to note that its keystone event, CEO 2018, will be occurring over at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach next year. See the trailer below for a look at our next destination!
