Playstation 3 Legacy Sticks will be supported for PS4 version of @TEKKEN 7

For those who regularly use a fight stick originally designed for the Playstation 3, you might have been considering the possibility of trading it in for a version that’s suited for the PS4 console. Fortunately for you, you won’t need to undergo such a hassle.

According to Katsuhiro Harada, the head director of the Tekken franchise, all legacy sticks from the Playstation 3 will be supported on the PS4 version of Tekken 7!

Unfortunately for the Xbox One players, Harada has also confirmed that there is no available software to support a stick made for the Xbox 360, meaning that the Xbox fanbase will be required to switch up their equipment regardless of whichever version of Tekken 7 they choose to play.

Additionally, Harada answers a question from another player who plans to play Tekken 7 when it is released for PC: “Will the HORI Real Arcade Pro4 Kai Tekken 7 Edition Fight Stick for PS3/PS4 support direct or x-input on PC?”

In other words, regardless of whatever controller they use, the PC players should be good to go! However, a PC release for Tekken 7 has yet to be announced, meaning that the circumstances are subject to change.

For now, players can visit the Tekken website to pre-order their copy of the game before its launch on June 2nd, 2017! The game will be released for both the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Different versions of the game are available for purchase and each one comes with exclusive Tekken merchandise such as soundtracks and posters!
