EVO Japan 2018: Launch Trailer and List of Games

EVO 2017 has come to a close, but for the first time since the event’s inception, the FGC will not need to wait a whole year to relive its magic…

That’s right: EVO is heading over to Tokyo, Japan on January 26, 2018! It’s been in the works since the beginning of this year and now it will finally come to be.

The trailer above reveals the list of games that will be featured on the main stage for EVO Japan. Whether or not additions could be made in the future is unclear, but for now, here’s what we can expect to see:

  • Street Fighter V
  • Tekken 7
  • Blazblue: Central Fiction
  • ARMS
  • Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2
  • Super Smash Bros. Wii-U
  • King of Fighters XIV

The official website for EVO Japan is currently in the process of an update. For now, visiting their page will bring you straight to the official trailer for the event. Keep up with EVO Japan’s Twitter account to stay updated.

As far as EVO 2017 goes, we’d like to express our gratitude for the gentlemen who brought us another amazing experience in Las Vegas this weekend! The broadcasts were magical to watch, but of course, nothing quite beats an opportunity to see it all in person.

So when will you get to experience America’s version of EVO again, and what games will be hosted there? Details are expected to drop around the time EVO Japan takes place.

Train hard and good luck…Japan is waiting for you.
