Elder Scrolls Online New DLC Set In Morrowind

A few weeks ago, some data-miners uncovered files in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) that included a map of the isle of Vvardenfell. For those that don’t know this is the main landmass featured in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This led a lot f fans to believe the game would be returning to beloved Morrowind, home of the dark elves, in a future update.

Well, the rumors happen to be true. Bethesda, yesterday, revealed the new chapter of ESO, and you’ll never guess what they called it. Morrowind, the new expansion will have fans going back to the giant mushroom-strewn landscape of north-eastern Tamriel when it launches on June 6th of this year. Check out the reveal trailer below.

As you can see in the trailer, ESO: Morrowind will include a new class called the Warden. This is the first since the original launch. The Warden will be a combination of melee weapons and nature-based magic. Not only that BooBoo, but the Warden will also be supported by a new combat ally, the war bear.

Existing players will be able to immediately travel to Vvardenfell and enjoy level-appropriate content as soon as the expansion launches. While the new players will be able to choose to create fresh characters on Vvardenfell, or from the beginning. If they choose Vvardenfell they can do so even without completing any previous ESO content.

Another fun little mode that was added was a 4v4v4 PVP.

“For those that prefer player-vs-player combat, a new 4 vs 4 vs 4 battlegrounds mode will be included in the Morrowind expansion, pitting teams against one another in arena-like environments.”
