Dragonball FighterZ arrives in February 2018 + Sign-ups for beta are live!

Today at Gamescom, it’s been confirmed that Dragonball FighterZ has an official release date. The game will drop for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in February 2018!

In the latest trailer from Bandai Namco, we take a look at all of the confirmed characters in action, but there’s more treats to be had when the game comes out…see for yourself!

A “forbidden” story mode near the end?! Seemingly dark versions of the characters we know?! What sorcery is at work here?!

Sadly it’ll be a while before we find out, but in the meantime, there are some goodies to claim should you choose to pre-order your copy of the game right now! These goodies include a code for early access to the open beta as well as an unlock for two characters in the final version: Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta!

Although sign-ups for a closed beta were originally scheduled to start on August 26th, it looks like we’re in luck – they have decided to open sign-ups early starting today! However, we advise you to note that depending on your region, you will need to use a different link to submit your registration for the closed beta. See below for a pair of Twitter posts displaying links for the US and EU versions.

The beta will officially launch in both regions on September 16th, lasting until the 17th. If you want an early but brief taste of the game, we recommend getting in there and signing up now!

Finally, Dragonball FighterZ can be purchased as a Collector’s Edition for those ordering the game on either of the consoles! Items from this package include a Goku diorama, three art boards and an exclusive steelbook!

Dragonball FighterZ has quickly become one of the most anticipated titles by the fighting game community. Although 2017 was definitely a strong year for the genre, it appears that only more treats will welcome us near the end of the year, as well as in 2018!

In closing, we’d like to share another gameplay trailer featuring the latest characters coming to DBFZ. Included in this footage are Krillin, Piccolo, Trunks and more!

We’ll be watching Gamescom this week for more updates as they come! Keep up with our blog and Twitter to stay informed!
