Demo for Guilty Gear XRD 2 will drop for the PS4 on May 1st!

The official release date for Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2 is set for May 26th in both North America and Europe. However, starting next Monday, a demo version will be available on the Playstation 4, but only for those with a PS Plus subscription.

The demo version will be completely free to download and no pre-order of the original product is required. Players will be able to enjoy the latest update to the Guilty Gear franchise for up to a whole month before the demo closes.

This demo will include the two new characters, Baiken and Answer, along with new stages, moves and motions. You’ll also be able to enjoy a training mode and a versus mode. As for online features, none of them have been confirmed as part of the demo which likely means that there will be no testing of the netplay.

It should also be noted that GG XrD 2 will be featured as part of the primary lineup for “Sai,” a free-to-enter community event where players can get a taste of the EVO Japan experience before it runs its main course on January 2018. See this article to learn more.

The game will be available to play on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 consoles on May 26th. It will also be released for Steam (PC) on June 1st, according to this post from the Japanese website for ArcSystemWorks.
