Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass is now available!
Capcom has happily partnered with Playstation once again to bring you an amazing experience with this year’s Capcom Pro Tour season!
Starting today, players will be able to purchase CPT-themed content via the Street Fighter V in-game store using the cash from their own pockets (you cannot purchase this with in-game Fight Money). A similar initiative was taken last year, but for the 2017 season, we’re getting a brand new wave of content including a new stage for the CPT! As cool as the Ring of Destiny looks, we’re always willing to try something new.
Do note that this content will be available until the end of November 2017. That’s plenty of time, but as gamers know, it flies when you’re having fun, so grab your Capcom Pro Tour goodies while you can!

So what’s up for grabs this year? Let’s take a look!
To start with, the franchise’s trademark fighters, Ryu and Ken, will receive unique skins called Capcom Cup Collection Costumes. A bit of a lengthy title, but appropriate enough to describe their formal wear for such a momentous occasion. See below for a look at their costumes!
Additionally, included with the CPT bundle are twenty-eight extra colors, one for each character, (these account for the launch roster and all of the Season 1/2 DLC characters), and two fight titles to customize your player card. See the image below to check out this new color on Kolin and Akuma!
That shade of blue certainly gives you the Capcom vibe, does it not?
And of course, a Champion’s Choice costume (like the one with Necalli last year) and a new CPT stage will be included in this bundle, but Capcom has declined to reveal them as of now so we’ll have to suffer an agonizing waiting period…though not forever.
As per player feedback last year, Capcom has added an extra boon for those who purchase any of this content: starting this June, they’ll be able to complete online challenges to increase their Fight Money, such as winning a certain number of ranked matches. More to come!
A portion of the proceeds made from purchasing CPT-themed content will go towards production for the Capcom Pro Tour. To be exact, the Capcom Cup 2017 prize pool will get 30% of these earnings while another 50% goes towards CPT production. That’s 80% of all purchases going towards an awesome cause for the Capcom community, and the best part? Both the customers and the competitors come out ahead!

That’s a lot of Street Fighter V content to look forward to, isn’t it? Hard to keep up with it all, but the more, the merrier!
